Courses I Recommend

These are the courses and communities that have truly helped me grow as a laser maker and small business owner. From file design to product launches to business confidence—I only recommend what I’ve personally taken and found valuable.

1. Unhinged Maker Society (by Stephanie at the Country Porch Swing and Dawn Marie at Seven Arrows Co)

A membership-based community focused on business development for makers of all kinds—not just laser users. Unhinged offers monthly challenges, expert interviews, business and marketing trainings, and ongoing encouragement to help you grow and refine your creative business.

Since joining, I’ve found it incredibly valuable—not only for the learning but also for the motivation and mindset support. The live sessions are packed with helpful insights, and the community itself is one of the most uplifting and generous I’ve been part of.

If you’re looking for fresh ideas, business clarity, and genuine community, Unhinged Maker Society is absolutely worth exploring.

2. Earring Bar Party Training (by Dawn Marie at Seven Arrows Co)

If you’ve ever wanted to host your own DIY jewelry bar parties, this training has everything you need to do it with confidence. It covers event setup, pricing strategies, supplies, marketing, and how to find and book hosts.

You’ll receive a 2-hour video training, a detailed supply list (with discounts!), setup photos, email templates, and a printable checklist to stay organized. Whether you want to add a new revenue stream or create a fun, in-person experience for customers, this course makes it easy to get started—and profitable to keep going.

3. Laser Launch Academy (by Emily Caroline, AKA That Mom With a Laser)

Laser Launch Academy is a five-week, structured course designed to help you master your CO₂ laser with confidence. It walks you through laser safety, LightBurn software, workflow setup, and troubleshooting techniques so you can create consistently and efficiently.

Before I took this course, I was nervous about switching from a Glowforge to an industrial laser. This training made that transition feel totally doable. It’s not just about understanding settings—it’s about building the skills that make everything smoother and less intimidating.

If you’re just getting started or struggling with your laser, Laser Launch Academy can save you a ton of time and frustration.
